Team Global Express

Team Global Express is the largest intermodal logistics company in Australia and New Zealand. The move to new premises on St Kilda Road, Melbourne marked a significant moment for the business – an opportunity to step out from its previous association with Toll, establish its own identity, and bring together people from multiple locations under one roof.

The brief was to create a workplace that felt professional but had genuine character, one that reflected the culture of the organisation and gave physical expression to its core values. The design aesthetic is anchored in a “Sleeves Rolled Up” philosophy: unpretentious, energetic and built around the idea of one team, striving together.

The arrival experience sets the tone immediately. A dynamic digital display commands the entry, showing the real-time tracking and movement of the fleet across the country – a direct and striking connection between the day-to-day workplace experience and the scale of what the business does.

Throughout the fitout, a sustainable approach guided material and furniture decisions, retaining and repurposing existing elements where practical, and layering a warmer base palette with bold colour accents and brand-led graphics that bring energy to key focal areas.

Planning centres on the ONE team philosophy – a neighbourhood-based agile working model that offers genuine diversity of settings, from collaborative zones and shared community spaces to a high proportion of quiet rooms, video conferencing and phone booths. Touchdown spaces are designed to welcome people from other locations, ensuring everyone feels part of something larger regardless of where they’re based.

Wellbeing is woven throughout: sit-to-stand desks, natural light, planting, and dedicated spaces for respite, prayer and parents reflect a genuine commitment to the people who work there every day.
